Workshop Overview: What to Expect Location: Laguna Beach and Neighboring Areas Workshop
Dates: - Contact Person: Greg LaRock
These workshops are designed for the intermediate oil painter who wishes to take their paintings to the next level. If you feel you've reached a "plateau" in your work or are having problems with composition, value and simplification, then a workshop can help. My workshop will teach you how to create a successful composition. How to get depth and atmosphere into your work. Simplifying what you see, working with edges, large masses, and the importance of maintaining and supporting a focus.
If you've never painted in oils, or are at a very beginning level in painting, then this workshop is not for you.
What to expect when taking a workshop: Due to the limited amount of instructional time, you will not be a master overnight, nor are there magical shortcuts or equipment. But you will come away with solid ideas and tools to improve. With hard work and perseverance, you will be able to meet the goals you set as a painter.
